The Holtville High School Softball Team is bringing back a community favorite for another season — Chick-fil-A Friday.
The fundraiser was launched last softball season as a way to raise money for the HHS Softball Program. Knowing Chick-fil-A is a favorite among all ages, the HHS Softball Booster Club came up with a simple idea: why not bring a little Chick-fil-A to Slapout on the first Friday of each month?
What started as an idea quickly became a tradition embraced by the Holtville community.
The first Chick-fil-A Friday of the new year was held this past week, and once again, the community showed up in a big way.
“Not only did we sell out of more than 200 biscuits, we also received over $100 in additional donations to our softball program, just because!” said Kelly Findley, President of the HHS Softball Booster Club. “Holtville is the best community, hands down, and our girls are so blessed to live and play here.”
All money raised through Chick-fil-A Friday goes directly back to supporting the Holtville High School Softball Program and its student-athletes.
For the Lady Dawgs, the fundraiser is about more than selling breakfast. It is another example of a community coming together to support its students and athletic programs.
Save the Date
The next Chick-fil-A Friday will be held Friday, October 2.
HHS Softball and the Booster Club thank the Holtville community for continuing to support the Lady Dawgs.
Go Dawgs! 💚🤍🥎
